My name is Christophe Correia. I was born in 1988 and grew up in Braga, where my connection to drawing and painting took root very early on. My first drawing competition, won at the age of 5, remains an anecdote I like to tell: I wasn't yet able to tie my shoelaces, but I already knew how to handle a pencil with enough seriousness to impress a jury.

My academic career didn't lead me directly to fine arts, but it always maintained a connection with creation. Having trained in Product Design in Viana do Castelo, I continued to draw and paint without ever interrupting this practice, almost as a vital necessity.

The real turning point came in 2018, during a road trip through southern Spain. From Figueres and Cadaqués to Seville, this journey was a revelation: art was not just a hobby, but a direction in life. It was then that I decided to devote myself more seriously to painting, particularly oil, a medium that has accompanied me ever since.

Since then, I have had the opportunity to share my work at several artistic events, including a group exhibition in April 2019 at the Gallery Gabrielle, as well as the "Peintres dans la Rue" events in Brie-Comte-Robert in 2023 and 2024.

Today, I continue my artistic journey with the desire to create works where emotion, memory, and reality intersect, always with the same sense of wonder I felt as a child, pencil in hand.
